The HSG47 Substation course is a two-day, EUSR-accredited training programme designed for anyone working near or around high-voltage (HV) underground cables and substations. This course is the required training for those working in or near HV cable environments, as it replaces the previous course which is being phased out.

✅ Understand and apply HSG47 guidance and safety legislation.
✅ Use Cable Avoidance Tools (cat and genny substation) in all modes (Power, Radio, and Genny).
✅ Interpret utility service drawings and records.
✅ Plan safe systems of work, conduct risk assessments, and excavate safely.
✅ React to cable strikes and emergency scenarios.
