About the Scheme

The SHEA scheme was created with industry collaboration. It provides consistent health, safety, and environmental awareness training. This training aligns with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.

Target Audience

SHEA Core is for anyone accessing operational sites. This includes all levels: operatives, supervisors, and managers. It applies to both permanent and temporary workers.

Course Content

Six modules are included in the SHEA Core scheme. However, essential health, safety, and environmental topics are covered by these modules. Besides, relevance across all utility industries is maintained.

Key aspects of the course:

• ✅ First, practical workplace knowledge is focused on.
• ✅ Second, understanding and behavioral awareness are emphasized.
• ✅ Finally, technical competence is not assessed by this course.

EUSR Registration

Registration, in effect, requires successful training and assessment. Approved trainers, as a result, deliver a standardized program. Indeed, training is interactive, including activities and group discussions.

Registration Validity

EUSR registration for SHEA Core, specifically, lasts for three years. In addition, the three-year period starts from the assessment date.

SHEA Additional (Formerly Conversion/Reciprocity/Transition)

Already have a SHEA registration? Then, you may qualify for reduced training. In particular, this applies when adding another SHEA Courses scheme.

How SHEA Additional Works

✅ Initially, existing SHEA Core modules count as “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL).

✅ Consequently, there’s no need to repeat completed learning or assessments.

✅ Nevertheless, a current, valid SHEA EUSR registration is required.

Important: Registration Alignment

The new SHEA registration’s start date, furthermore, will match your existing SHEA registration. Thus, this ensures aligned renewal timing for SHEA Core modules. Ultimately, both will expire simultaneously.

Example:

Your SHEA core is registered on 09/05/2021. Subsequently, you add SHEA water modules. As a result, both registrations now will expire on 08/05/2024.
