Upon successful completion, delegates receive the EUSR SHEA Water Card (also known as the EUSR SHEA Water Passport), a recognised credential that demonstrates competency and site access eligibility.
The course aligns with EUSR SHEA Water standards, providing industry-specific guidance for anyone accessing operational water sites. With clear instruction, interactive learning, and practical examples, this EUSR SHEA Water training course ensures participants can confidently manage health, safety, and environmental risks while meeting regulatory requirements.
The online EUSR SHEA Water training consists of eight modules – six core modules applicable across all utilities and two modules specifically focused on the water industry. This structure ensures participants gain both general safety awareness and water-specific knowledge. The course is designed to develop and demonstrate:
✅ Knowledge – understanding key health, safety, and environmental requirements
✅ Understanding – awareness of industry standards and site responsibilities
✅ Behavioural awareness – recognising safe practices and responsible decision-making
Upon successful completion, delegates receive EUSR SHEA Water registration, commonly referred to as the EUSR SHEA Water Card or EUSR SHEA Water Passport. It is important to note that this passport scheme confirms awareness and behavioural competency rather than technical skills, making it suitable for all personnel accessing water industry sites.
This EUSR SHEA Water training course ensures participants meet regulatory standards while gaining a recognised credential for compliance and site access.
The EUSR SHEA Water Card (also known as the EUSR SHEA Water Passport) is a recognised industry credential that demonstrates an individual’s awareness and understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices within the UK water industry.
It is awarded upon successful completion of the EUSR SHEA Water training course and assessment. Holding this card confirms that the cardholder:
The card does not certify technical skills; instead, it serves as a passport scheme, allowing personnel—whether permanent or temporary—to work safely on water industry sites while demonstrating competency in regulatory and safety procedures.
Registration for the EUSR SHEA Water course requires successful completion of the training and passing the assessment. The standardised SHEA Water training programme is delivered by approved trainers and is highly interactive, incorporating activities and group discussions to enhance understanding and engagement.
Validity: The EUSR SHEA Water registration is valid for three years from the start date.
Important – Registration Dates:
New SHEA Water registrations will align with your original SHEA date, ensuring that SHEA Core renewals coincide. Both registrations will expire together, simplifying ongoing compliance.
Example: If your SHEA Power registration starts on 09/05/2025 and you subsequently add SHEA Water, both registrations will now expire on 08/05/2028.
Completing this online EUSR SHEA Water training and receiving your EUSR SHEA Water Passport ensures you maintain compliance, meet industry standards, and demonstrate recognised behavioural awareness on water industry sites.
EUSR SHEA Additional schemes usually allow individuals holding a current SHEA registration to add another industry-specific, 3-year certification without retaking the 6 core modules. Existing SHEA holders may qualify for reduced training. This is for adding another EUSR SHEA courses scheme. Certain modules can “count” towards the new scheme.
