Hello, I’m Laura. I am an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Fire Safety Consultant and Trainer, with extensive hands-on operational experience across the healthcare, leisure, utilities, engineering, construction, and education sectors. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, I bring a strong technical foundation combined with practical industry experience, enabling me to deliver current, competent, and tailored support to organisations of all sizes. My background gives me the ability to bridge engineering knowledge with real-world operational challenges, ensuring solutions are both robust and practical. I am a registered consultant with the HSE Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) and hold Fellowships with leading professional bodies, reflecting my commitment to high standards and professional excellence.

Hi, I’m Rob. I have over thirty years’ experience in training delivery, and have gathered a wealth of knowledge from exposure to a variety of multi-client sectors along the way. My background includes seven years’ service with the Army reserve (Queen’s Regt.), commercial diving, construction and security, before moving into first-aid and fire safety training. I spent four years with London Fire Brigade in training design consultancy with the Commercial Training and Fire Safety Inspectorate teams, and moved on to working on the digital training design contract for fire-fighting technical skills, with Babcock International.  Attaining post-grad diploma in management, I later progressed in to training in supervisory management & leadership, Agile project management and continuous improvement. Prior to coming on board with ESS, I worked with a training consultancy, working alongside clients in the defence, nuclear, oil & gas sectors, in both the UK and EMEA, assisting them in improving design and delivery of their technical training.  Whilst working alongside the nuclear sector, I attained NSAN, Magnox and National Waste Programme qualifications in Nuclear new-build sites, security, low-level radiation waste, environment awareness and behavioural safety. My spare time finds me hiking around the Brecon Beacons, and helping in maintaining the public access routes as a volunteer warden with the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.
