About the EUSR SHEA Water Course

This scheme is for individuals accessing water industry sites. This includes all levels: operatives, supervisors, and management. It applies to both permanent and temporary staff.

Course Structure

The SHEA Water training has eight modules. Six are core modules, relevant across all utilities. Two modules focus specifically on the water industry.

The course aims to demonstrate:

✅  Behavioral awareness

Successful completion leads to EUSR SHEA Water registration. This is a passport scheme, not a technical competency certification.

EUSR Registration

Registration requires completing the training and passing the assessment. Approved trainers deliver the standardized program. Training is interactive, involving activities and group discussions.

Validity: The valid period is three years.

SHEA Additional (Previously: Conversion/Reciprocity/Transition)

Existing SHEA holders may qualify for reduced training. This is for adding another EUSR SHEA courses scheme. Certain modules can “count” towards the new scheme.

Key Points for SHEA Additional:

• ✅  Current SHEA Core modules are used as “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL).
• ✅  This avoids repeating previously covered material.
• ✅  A current, valid SHEA EUSR registration is essential.

Important: Registration Dates

The new SHEA registration will start on your original SHEA date. This aligns SHEA Core renewal timing. Both registrations expire together.

Example:

Your SHEA Power is registered on 09/05/2021. You then add SHEA Water. Both will now expire on 08/05/2024.
